I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to my massively dedicated committee.
First, John and Kathy Gillian, who hosted a first-class kick-off party at their house Friday night. It set a fabulous tone for the whole weekend!
Also James Fornear, for organizing the Friday late-night party at Pizzazz Pizza. What a crowd! It almost seemed like a "general" USCHS reunion, because so many people from other classes showed up as well! It was great to have the Young Brothers back together... with James and Eli Vestich up on stage. Laura Simpson was awesome on vocals!
Thanks to Lisa Montgomery Bowling for her entertaining slide show, Chris Connors for the hot 80's tunes, and Randy Tozzie's balloons, all for Saturday night. Club 3000 at PNC Park never looked or sounded better!
A huge thank you goes to Ellie Winkleman, Kris Kahlson Biessener, Barb Brown Virany and Paul Schneider. This foursome should really be moonlighting for the FBI. They helped out in all areas of planning, but their biggest contribution was that they were relentless in tracking down lost classmates. Without them, many of us wouldn't even have known about the reunion!
But without a doubt, the biggest thank you... (and Eli, as you post this, you better not delete this part...) goes to Eli Vestich! I have said it before, and I'll say it again, the overwhelming success of our reunion was due to Eli and this website he created. It has been a fantastic way to communicate. In fact, it's been so worthwhile, that we plan to keep it up for another five years... until our 30th Reunion! So please mark it among your favorites, and don't forget to check back in occasionally.
Finally, on a personal note, I just want to say that 25 years is a long time, but when I saw everyone again, it felt as though hardly any time had passed at all. I really enjoyed seeing you all. Thank you again for coming, and most of all, for enjoying yourselves, I think I speak for the entire committee, when I say it made our work worthwhile.
Sincerely,
Margy Shortridge
